What is Wood Edge Banding?

Some PVC edge banding rolls are pre-glued with EVA hot melt glue on the back side of strip which can be activated by iron heat. The banding should be ironed at 150℃ over the feather edge until it is completely melted.

How to apply edge banding?

Step 1: Mark where you want the edge banding to go on the workpiece.

Step 2: Cut the edge banding to length/width with a sharp knife or razor.

Step 3: Apply glue on the edge of board evenly and thinly. Make sure there’s enough glue in all areas.

Step 4: Apply the edge banding, and gently spread it out with your fingers or a spatula, working from the middle out to make sure there aren’t any air bubbles.

Step 5: After applying all of the edge banding, let it sit for a few minutes so that glue can dry.
