1.Solid wood board
As the name implies, solid wood board is made of complete wood. These boards are solid and durable with natural lines. They are the best choice for decoration. However, due to the high cost of such plates and the high requirements of construction technology, they are not widely used in decoration. The solid wood board is generally classified according to the material name of the board, and there is no unified standard specification.
2.Plywood
Plywood is made of three or more one-millimeter thick veneer or sheet layers which are glued and hot pressed. It is the most commonly used material for hand-made furniture. Splints are generally divided into 6 specifications: 3mm-panel, 5mm-panel, 9mm-panel, 12mm-panel, 15mm-panel and 18mm-panel.
3.Decorative Panel
It is a kind of decorative board with one side decoration function, which is made by precisely slicing the solid wood board into thin veneer with thickness of about 0.2mm, using plywood as the base material and sticking together through adhesive process. It is a special form of splint with a thickness of 3cm. Decorative panel is a kind of decoration material which is different from oil mixing method.
4.Joinery board
Joinery board is made of two pieces of veneer, which are glued and pressed together. The price of Joinery board is cheaper than that of plywood. The vertical bending strength is different (according to the direction of core material), but the transverse bending strength is higher.
5.Particle board
Particleboard is made of fine sawdust and coarse sawdust (long and large wood fiber) and pressed with adhesive. The outer layer of both sides is fine sawdust to ensure the flatness of the surface. The coarse sawdust, which accounts for about half of the thickness of the whole board in the middle, can not easily fall off after the nails are wedged, and can reduce the use of adhesive, so as to reduce the release of formaldehyde.
Particleboard is made of wood or non-wood plant particleboard materials (such as wood particleboard, flax chips, bagasse, etc.) with or without glue and auxiliary materials.
According to the particleboard structure, it can be divided into: single-layer structure particleboard, three-layer structure particleboard, gradual structure particleboard, directional particleboard, waffle particleboard, molded particleboard.
According to the surface condition, it can be divided into:
(1) Particleboard without decorative surface: a. Polished particleboard; b. Unpolished particleboard.
(2) Particleboard with decorative surface:
①Particleboard with Impregnated paper on surface;
②Particleboard with Decorative laminate on surface;
③Particleboard with Veneer on surface;
④Particleboard with painting on surface;
⑤Particleboard with PVC finish on surface.
According to the manufacturing method:
A flat pressed particleboard; B extruded particleboard.
6.MELAMIN FACED CHIP BOARD (MFC board)
MFC board，Full name is melamine impregnated paper veneer wood-based panel. It is a decorative board made of paper with different colors or textures soaked in melamine resin adhesive, dried to a certain degree of curing, paved on the surface of particleboard, medium density fiberboard or hard fiberboard and hot pressed.
The advantage of MFC board paved on particleboard is that it integrates all the advantages of particleboard and has good moisture-proof performance because of the cyanuric acid glue used, which is also called MFC moisture-proof board.
7.MDF，Medium Density Fiberboard
Density board, also known as fiberboard. The wood-based panel is made of wood fiber or other plant fiber with urea formaldehyde resin or other applicable adhesive. According to its density, it can be divided into high density board, medium density board and low density board.
The density board is also easy to be reprocessed due to its soft texture and impact resistance. In foreign countries, the density board is a good material for making furniture, but because the national standard for density board is several times lower than the international standard, so the use quality of density board in China still needs to be improved.
8.HIGH PRESS LAMINATE
Fireproof board is a decorative board made of silicon material or calcium material as the main raw material, mixed with a certain proportion of fiber material, lightweight aggregate, adhesive and chemical additives, and then autoclaved. The thickness of fireproof board is generally 0.8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm.
It is a new type of material which is used more and more at present. The construction of fire-proof board has high requirements for pasting glue. The price of fire-proof board with good quality is more expensive than that of decorative board.
